Wedding Cake

INGREDIENTS:
For the layer of 26cm
egg yolks - 5
hot, boiling water - 6 tablespoons
sugar - 100 gms
vanilla sugar - 1 packet
egg whites - egg whites
sugar - 50 gms
flour - 100 gms
baking soda - 1 teaspoon
corn starch - 50 gms


For the layer of 20 cm and 14 cm
egg yolks - 5
hot, boiling water - 6 tablespoons
sugar - 100 gms
vanilla sugar - 1 packet
egg whites - egg whites
sugar - 50 gms
flour - 100 gms
baking soda - 1 teaspoon
corn starch - 50 gms


For the cream
butter - 300 gms
egg yolks - 4
icing suger - 150 gms
nougat - 2 packets
chocolate grates - 2 tablespoons


For the icing
egg white - 1
icing suger - 600 gms
dash of water
food coloring


for the decoration
marzipan - 200 gms
small chocolate hearts
icing suger - 100 gms

DIRECTIONS:
Prepare each of the 3 layers seperately-
Beat egg yolks with boiling water
Add 100 gms sugar and vanilla sugar and beat till white and foamy
Add 50 gms of suger, flour, starch and baking soda and mix carefully
Fill into buttered form and bake at 180 C for 40 to 45 minutes
Bake the big layer seperately, the 2 smaller ones togther
Seperate cakes from forms and let them cool
Cut each layer horizontally 2 times

Mix butter till very creamy and add egg yolks and powdered sugar
Warm nougat and add to the cream
Add grated chocolate
Coat the layers with the cream and put them on top of each other

For the icing, beat the egg whites with powdered suger and food coloring
Add water until you get a smooth mass of icing
Put over the 3-layered cake and wait 2 minutes

Decorate wedding cake with chocolate hearts

Mix marzipan with powedered sugar and add red or orange food coloring to create rose petals
Decorate wedding cake with marzipan roses
